As a small business owner and independent contractor, I appreciate it when a client values my contribution as if I were an employee of their organization. Being a “member of the team” enables collaboration and achieves the best results.  For the ten years that I have served Bretford, Cindy Eggebrecht has been this and more.  Her gracious personality combined with her astute marketing and business acumen has had me looking forward to every project that we have done together.  Whether it be the design of Bretford’s showroom at the Merchandise Mart launching their latest product, styling any number of print and web-based marketing vehicles or designing their corporate headquarters, Cindy always is a motivational, enthusiastic and knowledgeable partner in the process.  Her keen insight into her customers’ world gained through her intimate participation in research and constant interaction with leaders in the world of education has given her the ability to keenly target and develop messages that resonate with their needs.  These skills have served “our” team extremely well and, most certainly, will strengthen yours.

I have known Cindy Eggebrecht for nearly a decade as an innovative, thoughtful, and conscientious marketing professional for Bretford. The company manufactures and distributes furniture, which broke new ground, under Cindy's marketing tenure, in furnishing the agile classrooms, now becoming commonplace. One of our projects, together, was a video series that explored Active Learning form the standpoints of pedagogy, architecture, and lifelong learning.

This series was used by Cindy to jump start Bretford's widely sought after learning unit series for architects and interior designers involved in the design of today's schools, and their interiors. She asked me to moderate all three films, a series that produced some very positive feedback from professionals about the learning opportunities it offered.

I was also impressed by Cindy's ability to find and gather quality specialists in learning and design for various panel discussions on the subject of Active Learning. From the tech-savvy school teacher, to the respected academic researcher, to the the design professionals--their interpretation of new findings benefitted the next generation, their teachers, and our school systems .

Cindy worked to create a partnership between her client, Bretford, with Convergence Academies operating from the Center for Digital Arts at Columbia College Chicago; the manufacturer provided furniture for the Digital Ateliers for previously low-performing public schools in the city.

Cindy Eggebrecht is an innovative, skillful, strategic marketing professional who will a great asset to her future employer.

I am writing to recommend Cindy Eggebrecht-Weinschreider wholeheartedly for a marketing position in your organization.

I have known Cindy for several years, going back to when I was Editor-in-Chief for the national ed-tech publication eSchool News and she was in charge of marketing and communications for Bretford Manufacturing.

From an editor's perspective, Cindy was always a pleasure to work with. She responded quickly and thoroughly to our reporters' questions, and she was extremely helpful in pitching story ideas and finding angles and sources that would showcase her employer's strengths while also benefiting our readers.

Her insight into what makes a story compelling is especially impressive.  So many marketers try to push their products without understanding how these products fit in with a larger narrative.  Cindy has a keen sense of how to position a solution in a way that is timely, topical, and engaging.  She knows how to frame information in a context that appeals to editors and prospective customers alike.

Since leaving eSchool News to form my own freelance writing and content marketing business, I have had the pleasure of working with Cindy more closely, helping to execute her content marketing strategy at Bretford.  In that time, I have come to appreciate Cindy's ability to think strategically and orchestrate creative, multidimensional campaigns designed to achieve maximum impact.

For instance, when Bretford supplied its modular, technology-enabled furniture to equip an innovative learning space called the "iLab" in a California school, Cindy saw this as a opportunity to direct a research study of the space's impact on instruction - and the resulting research report became a valuable marketing tool for the company.  When a new career academy in Georgia purchased Bretford furniture for its classrooms and common areas, Cindy arranged to fly me down and interview the school's architect, key administrators, and corporate sponsors, and I wrote several stories from different angles that we were able to place in multiple publications.

It was during this trip that I got to see another side of Cindy.  Her organization and attention to detail were remarkable, as she had coordinated meetings with numbers key players over the course of two eventful days.  But even more striking was how everyone was so eager to help her.  Cindy has a sincerity and a natural way with people that inspires their loyalty.  In a business where client relationships are critical, the importance of this quality can't be overstated.

I have no doubt that Cindy will make an exceptional employee, and I recommend her to you without reservation.  Please feel free to call or email me if you'd like to discuss her qualifications further.

I am very pleased to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Cindy Eggebrecht.

I’ve enjoyed the experience of working with Cindy on several large production photo shoots, spanning dozens of shoot days -- she is a technical, creative, and a logistical powerhouse.

As a photographer, I find her ability to communicate complex marketing goals clearly and with authority very refreshing and confidence inspiring. It’s unusual to have a client so seamlessly integrate herself with her art department. She gets the best out of my crew and me, while always being a fun and energetic force on set!

I look forward to working with her again. Please feel free to contact me at 312.315.1164 with any questions.

I’m very pleased to recommend Cindy for a position in your company. I’ve worked for Cindy for the past six years as a supplier. Over those years, despite working as a “vendor” for her, Cindy has always made me feel like a key player on her team. Her skills and leadership qualities would make her an invaluable addition to your Marketing team.

As someone who has worked with many different Marketing Directors across different vertical markets, seeing Cindy’s impressive mix of leadership ability paired with a true sense of team is unique. She is the point person you can rely upon to make the tough decisions that whether popular or not, a leader must make. At the same time, making those tough decisions wouldn’t ever preclude her from rolling up her sleeves and writing some copy or proofreading a script.

Hand’s on through and through, yet always willing to delegate to those she needed to.

Cindy has my highest recommendation for a position on your team. I’m confident your company will grow with her leadership and abilities in tow. Please feel free to contact me for any further information.

I’m writing to recommend Cindy Eggebrecht for a Director- or Vice President-level position in Marketing and/or Communications at a furniture, technology or educational organization.

I’ve known Cindy since 2000. We were colleagues at NEC and worked together in the marketing department. She was a highly valued member of the marketing team. The most unique aspect about Cindy was her laser focus on getting the job done – and that often meant going far above and beyond her job description.

Following NEC, Cindy accepted a position at Bretford Manufacturing, Inc. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with Cindy as a Public Relations Consultant for the majority of her time at Bretford. She does an excellent job of managing all of her vendor partners and provides clear direction for the best possible outcome. Cindy initiates unique projects at Bretford – she doesn’t just market products. Instead, she creates powerful tools that illustrate how those products transform the way we work and learn.

I was always impressed with Cindy’s professionalism and, well, her ability to handle it all with grace and ease – from unpacking products and putting them together on a trade show floor to managing press meetings during a show, to presenting best practices to tradeshow attendees, all in the same day! Instead of folding under pressure, she always rises to the challenge. She’s forged incredible relationships with customers, colleagues, and the community during her time at Bretford. Best of all, everyone enjoys working with Cindy. She’s cheerful, gracious, and ALWAYS an elite professional. Her thorough knowledge of marketing and ability to run a successful department make her a highly capable candidate for a leadership-level marketing position.

Cindy is a passionate thought leader who would be an asset to any furniture, technology or educational organization. If you are looking to advance your company’s marketing and communications efforts, you’ll want Cindy to lead the charge.
